Last Step Recycling

McCrory was selected to provide design-build services for an innovative new 230,000-square-foot processing facility for Last Step Recycling, a new company that processes automotive shredder residue (ASR) to capture metals such as copper, aluminum, and other resources that would normally go to a landfill. Beyond the obvious green implications of reducing waste and preserving natural resources, the remaining automotive shredder material after processing is clean enough to be used as surface cover for landfills.

Our team’s ability to deliver the project on a fast-track schedule and within their budget, was a differentiating factor in the Owner’s selection of McCrory.  In addition to having single-source responsibility for design and construction, McCrory is handling the facility’s process equipment purchase and installation.

“It’s exciting to be at the forefront in helping LSR create a facility for its unique operation, which processes shredded car parts and other scrap metal that is then sold to numerous industries.”
