In selecting McCrory to build Arcadia’s Edge, the developer sought unparalleled aesthetics that did not compromise the community’s serene wooded setting. Today, the community boasts sought-after amenities including a resort-style clubhouse, saltwater pool, cyber lounge, coffee bar, outdoor entertainment areas and walking paths along the wetland preserve.

During the project’s busy, 16-month preconstruction phase, McCrory worked through issues and opportunities with a variety of stakeholders including preservation of onsite wetlands and, later, worked closely with state and local environmental groups to stablize and improve the property’s 1.3-acre lily pad pond. Thanks to a unique incentive from the local power provider, each unit includes a Rinnai tankless hot water heater. The 204-unit development was built in alignment with the strictest energy efficient standards for high-density communities. Arcadia’s Edge was one of the first NAHB Certified Green Living Communities in the nation.
