This project is a 184-unit senior living community in Summerville, South Carolina. The Crossings at Wescott Plantation is a deluxe town center style complex with three unique floor plans and an assortment of first-rate conveniences. McCrory engaged in substantial preconstruction planning to proffer innovative methods and viable solutions that would save the client valuable time and capital. Building a quality coastal wood frame project can challenge even the most seasoned general contractor, as the Lowcountry’s notorious marsh-like soil can be problematic for the positioning and long-term viability of a new structure. However, McCrory’s knowledgeable team solved this through value engineering and collaborative creative design. McCrory also ensured The Crossings at Wescott Plantation was built in full compliance with rigorous hurricane code requirements, installing impact glass and top-of-the-line safety materials. The senior living complex is anchored by sophisticated technology, elegant design and accents, spacious floor plans, and desirable community features like a private gazebo garden and easy-to-access walking paths.
