Lithotripsy Center

Kershaw Health is a busy 121-bed community hospital. When the hospital purchased a lithotriptor to treat kidney stones with shockwave therapy, the current floor plan did not allow for a permanent location to house the advanced technology. Kershaw Health turned to McCrory to convert a portion of the hospital’s surgical services department into a lithotripsy center to serve patients.

"McCrory worked dilligently to limit service disruptions and ensure the utmost safety for our patients and visitors."

In addition to rigorous infection control measures and tight scheduling, the build out of the center involved extensive after-hours work to limit disruption of the busy hospital’s surgical services. The McCrory team worked closely with the Kershaw Health team throughout the project. Today, the lithotripsy center has helped several hundred patients to successfully treat kidney stones.
